Build your promotion case
Turn six months of journal into a brag doc with receipts — then take all of it with you, to Obsidian or anywhere else.
Performance review season punishes people with bad memories and rewards people with good notes. If you’ve been journaling — even lazily — the evidence already exists: shipped tasks, PR reviews, decisions, dates. A promotion package turns a date range of that record into a first-person narrative with receipts, grounded strictly in what you actually logged. No invented metrics, ever.
1. Open Promotion packages
It lives under AI in the sidebar. First visit shows the honest truth: No packages yet. Generate your first from a date range of shipped work. Hit New package.

2. Pick the company and the date range
Choose the company and set the range — a half-year is the sweet spot. The package is assembled from the completed tasks, reviews, meetings, and sprints inside it, generated with your own AI key and stored encrypted like everything else.

3. Generate, then make it yours
The draft is confident, concrete, first-person prose — organized around themes, each claim backed by the tasks and reviews underneath it. Edit it like a human, then Copy markdown and paste it into whatever form your company’s process demands.
Why it doesn’t exaggerate: the generator is instructed to ground every claim strictly in your log. Your real numbers are more persuasive than inflated ones — and you have to defend this document in a room.
4. And when you leave — take everything
Your data never belongs to the app. Settings → General → Export to Obsidian (.zip) downloads everything you’ve written as a vault of Markdown files linked with wikilinks. It opens directly in Obsidian, works in any editor, and it’s yours on any plan or none.

That’s the full loop: journal daily, sync everything, prep automatically — and when it counts, the case for your promotion writes itself from receipts.
